The Annapolis real estate market is HOT right now. We were looking to buy a second home there during this seller’s market, and knew we needed help. We chose Whitney Jerdal as our buyer’s agent for two primary reasons: 1. Whitney had just sold the house across the street from one we were interested in buying.  We figured she would have a good feel for the market after negotiating offers on that home, and others in downtown Annapolis. 2. We know Whitney personally; she is honest, passionate about her work, and incredibly easy to talk to. We knew that the hours spent searching for a property would be both enjoyable and productive. 

 

Whitney is aggressive without being overbearing. Whitney knew of listings before they hit the market, which is super helpful in a sellers market where you have to be ready to make an offer quickly. Whitney made herself available for every showing, or arranged a coworker to meet us so that we never missed an opportunity to see a property. Whitney made us feel like we were her only clients, although I know that wasn’t the case!

 

In the end, it is because of Whitney that we successfully closed on a great property last month. Her communication with the buyer’s agent helped us craft an offer that was very attractive to the sellers, and we beat out other competitive offers for this reason. Without that extra level of communication, we likely would have missed out on the property. She helped us to successfully negotiate the inspection process and arrange for a smooth closing. 

 

We couldn’t be happier with this experience and will definitely call Whitney for future real estate transactions.

We recently partnered with Whitney on both buying a house and selling a house, and we couldn't be happier with both experiences!  As those who have been through these processes know, these can be emotional times.  We worked through the entire spectrum of emotions, and all the while Whitney stayed calm, collected, and professional, and she never stopped giving us sound advice.  On the buy side, she worked diligently with the sellers' agent, and was meticulous in working through the details to ensure we felt comfortable with the outcome.  She did a great job in getting us a fair deal.  On the sell side, she was extremely generous with her time to walk through the house with us to ensure it was set up to show well, she expertly worked with multiple buyers' agents in a very short period of time, and she negotiated an outcome in which both sides were extremely satisfied.  Whitney's care and compassion really showed after the sale when we were out of town and the buyers' agent showed up unexpectedly and set the alarm off.  Whitney hurried to our house to not only clear up the confusion, but she also took the time to straighten up since we were in a rush when we left.  The relationship we built with Whitney throughout these experiences was far from transactional...it was as relational as it could get.  Whitney is a great agent, but more importantly she is a wonderful person, and we're glad she was the one on this journey with us.  We are so happy in our new home, and Whitney played a huge part in making this happen.
