Often I meet with sellers and they say isn't spring the best time to sell? Will we have to sell really low in the winter? My answer is often the same. It really depends on the three things and these things sell homes during every season. Price! Location! Condition!
It's true the spring real estate market is usually a pretty robust season to sell but you also have more competition. If you sell in the winter there are less homes on the market so the buyers don't have as many choices.
If your home presents well you will get those buyers through the front door. Rates are still fantastic and inventory is still low. Doesn't that sound like a great combination? No one knows what the future will hold so why wait.
This client didn't wait for spring to arrive. We listed a week before Thanksgiving, under contract before Thanksgiving Day and we were settled and the new buyers were in before Christmas and Hanukkah.
Here's what they had to say.
"We enjoyed every minute of our limited time with Betty Batty - We say limited because we presented her with an impossible timeline of 8 weeks to sell our home, and right in the middle of the holiday season to make it even more difficult! From the very first meeting, she gave us great advice about how to quickly ready our home so that it would sell easily. She connected us with great contractors and helped us decide what was a 'must do' and 'what was a nice to do.' And those early decisions really made all the difference! The photographs and professional brochure were excellent resources for prospective buyers who came to our open house and those browsing online. We received a great offer immediately following the open house! Betty helped seal the deal, and she continued to offer moral support as we worked through all the remaining steps up until closing. We would highly recommend Betty! She was friendly, savvy, and available to us around the clock. - The Troke Family
